Train on YouTube video transcripts

YouTube Content Training​

Enhance your AI's performance and knowledge by leveraging insights from video content:

  • Paste YouTube URL: Simply enter the link to the desired video. This feature allows you to extract valuable information from a wide variety of videos, enabling your AI agent to learn from diverse sources and improve its understanding of various topics.  
  1. Please enter a valid URL address starting with "https://" and click

the "plus" button.

  1. Now, click on the "three dots" to set up your YouTube video.

  1. In the following modal, choose whether to use YouTube captions (if

available) or Chatislav's built-in transcriber.


Youtube Captions​

YT captions
  1. Select Use youtube captions/subtitle option
  2. Select from list of available captions
  3. Setup YT settings if needed
  4. Click Save




Chatislav Transcriber​

  1. Select Use chatislav transcriber option
  2. Configure transcription options (see below)
  3. Click Analyze

Chatislav Transcriber Options​

When using the Chatislav transcriber, you have several configuration options to customize the transcription process:

Transcribe From Language

  • Select the source language of the video audio
  • This helps the AI transcriber better understand and process the audio content

Transcription Prompt (Optional)

  • Provide custom instructions to guide the transcription process
  • Maximum 600 characters
  • Use this field to:
    • Specify technical terminology or proper nouns
    • Provide context about the video content
    • Include formatting preferences
    • Example: "This video discusses machine learning concepts. Please accurately transcribe technical terms like 'neural networks', 'backpropagation', and 'gradient descent'."

Translate to english

  • Enable this checkbox if you want the transcribed content translated to English
  • Useful for non-English videos that you want to train your AI agent with in English
  • The system will first transcribe in the source language, then translate to English
  • Ensures broader accessibility of video content regardless of original language


YT analyze
  1. After configuring options, the analysis shows:
    • Video title and duration
    • Your available transcription minutes
    • Minutes that will be used for this video
    • Remaining minutes after transcription
  2. Click Yes to confirm and proceed
  3. Click Save to finalize the setup


Training​

Now, your Youtube URLs are ready for training:
Once all relevant sources are uploaded, click the "Start Training" button.
Each knowledge source you add will be processed and integrated into your AI agent's training.
The platform provides real-time processing status (pending, in progress, or trained), enabling you to continue building your knowledge base while earlier uploads are being processed.
