Automatic Lead Collection
Overview
Enable your AI agent to automatically collect lead information from users during conversations. This system tool allows your agent to gather contact details and other important information using the form fields you've configured, creating a seamless lead capture experience.
Prerequisites
Before setting up the Automatic Lead Collection action, ensure you have:
- ✅ Form fields configured in your agent settings
- ✅ Clear understanding of what information you want to collect
Step 1: Configure Lead Collection Form Fields
Before creating the lead collection action, you need to set up the form fields that will be available for collection.
Access Form Settings
- Navigate to your AI agent dashboard
- Click on Settings in the left sidebar
- Select the Lead capture tab

Create Form Fields
- Click Add new field to create form fields
- Configure each field with:
- Field Type: Choose from text, email, phone, etc.
- Field Label: Display name for the field
- Placeholder: Helper text for users
- Required: Whether the field is mandatory
- Save your form field configuration

Step 2: Create Lead Collection Action
Access Agent Actions
- Go to AI Agent Actions in your dashboard
- Click the Agent Action button to create a new action

- Select Automatic Lead Collection

Configure System Tool
- Enable System Tool: Ensure the Enable option is ON
- Description: Describe when and how this action should be used
- In the Collect Leads Configuration section:
- Select fields you want the AI agent to collect from users
- Choose from the form fields you configured earlier
- Consider which information is essential vs. optional
- Click Save to create the action

- Click Save to apply the changes
