AI Catalog
AI Catalog lets you import structured data (products, services, listings) from a CSV file, Excel file, URL, or Google Sheet and give your AI agent instant access to search, filter, sort, and recommend across thousands of records in milliseconds. It is ideal for product catalogs, price lists, and inventories.
AI Catalog is a plan/add-on feature. If it is not enabled, the screen shows a prompt to add the AI Catalog add-on.
How It Works
- You create one or more catalogs from a file, URL, or Google Sheet.
- You preview the data and configure the schema — the product/SKU ID column, data types, searchable columns, filterable columns, sortable columns, and image settings.
- Chatislav processes the catalog in the background until it is Ready.
- Your agent uses the Data Search action to query the catalog during conversations, and can present selected results as an Interactive Product Card.
See Creating a Catalog and Image Search.
Plan Limits
The AI Catalog page shows your current tier and usage:
- AI Catalogs used vs allowed
- Max rows per catalog
- Max file size
Your plan also controls the maximum number of columns you can select during catalog import.
Use Upgrade (or Contact Us on the top tier) to raise these limits.
Catalog Status and Actions
Each catalog card shows the catalog status, source, filename, row and column count, file size, creation time, and last sync time.
Catalogs can be:
- Pending — waiting to process.
- Processing — being imported and indexed.
- Ready — available for search and agent actions.
- Failed — import or processing failed.
- Resyncing — a URL or Google Sheets catalog is being refreshed.
Available card actions depend on the catalog status and source:
- Search by Image — appears on ready catalogs with image-searchable image columns.
- Config — opens schema, image, Google access, and resync settings.
- Refresh — resyncs URL/Google Sheets catalogs or asks you to reupload file-based catalogs.
- Delete — removes the catalog.
Using the Catalog in Conversations
- Data Search — the agent searches the catalog using keyword search on searchable columns, filters on filterable columns, sorting on sortable columns, and recommendation modes. See Data Search (AI Catalog).
- Interactive Product Card — catalog results can be presented as rich product cards. With Automatic Card Mapping enabled, the agent only chooses which products to show, and Chatislav builds the card from your catalog using the field mappings you define. See Interactive Product Card.
If you disable a filterable or sortable column that an action depends on, Chatislav warns you that it may break those actions.
